NOTE: The reason only half the deck is used is due to the method and its requirements. In performance and presentation, it is justified through patter.
A visual Sandwich effect called Forensics because of the song. Anyways, I hope you enjoy. This idea was given to me by a friend of mine and I created the trick a year ago. It is not just a "youtube" effect as I do perform it live. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zWwgYI0ycQ Thanks. Can we please not bicker about the history of the deck shrinking thing cough* cough* as thats just something I added for fun. |

I like it! I am seeing more and more sandwhich effects these days, and I haven't learned any yet-_-. lol. Your videos look very nice I notice. What kind of camera do you use? Back on subject, do you mind if I ask how the method requires you to use half the deck? Just curious.

The video is fine. A good way to get the same amount of card, over the selection, in your left hand during the '' in and out '' part (with a complete deck) would be using the ambitious riser move. When you outjog the selection, you have enough time to set yourself for it. Just an idea.

Looking at the trick and moving past the shrinking deck that was thrown in "for fun" The trick is not that original. I am not trying to be mean, but it is a fairly simple sandwich trick.
I am not sure how the method requires half a deck as from what I can see it can be done with a full deck. Also why did you transpose the card twice? Is that necessary?

Thanks for the input people. Edward, I use a canon vixia hf200. The trick can be done with half the deck but in my opinion it works better with half.

With a little patter people, the trick could be really good. Yes, w/o patter, the half deck doesnt seem logical, nor does the shooting back and forth of the selection.
However, imagine patter like this: "Now, what I am about to do is a little hard with a full deck, so... (shriiiiiinnnnnnk to half deck). Bla bla bla bla, And your card shoots out... wait, hold on, never mind, this isn't your card, I will send it back. Oh, got it, this is your card. See, even with only half the pack it is still a little bit difficult to find your card, but I think I have it now." And you are done. Everything now has proper motivation, Yay!. |
