Default The Flat Surface Paradox

For those of use that need tables to perform certain tricks, we all have the same problem. Thin cards + surface tension + air = playing cards sticking to the table. I think this has been one of the biggest problems that I have found no solutions to. It isn't practical to carry a close up pad everywhere, and most of my favorite tricks require a table for one reason or another. Are there any techniques for picking cards off a very flat surface without complication? Single card or whole deck?
