My friend Tom Stone has released another quality e-book. ”Prey of the Prestidigitator” is the name, and it contains some of Tom's best work, in my opinion.
You can get it
here,
here and
here.
If you've ever read anything by Tom Stone, you'll know what kind of stuff to expect. Quality images, quality text, proper crediting and of course; brilliant magic.
Tom's Swedish magazine ”Enigma” has some fantastic magic, and some of those items are now published in this e-book. Non-Swedes can consisder themselves lucky.
I'll mention some of my favorite items in this publication. For full table of contents, buy the e-book!
Reality Glitch
This is a routine I've used ever since first reading it in ”Enigma” in 2005. The effect is that two aces and a selection are inserted into the deck at widely separated positions. The cards are very fairly squared up, magic happens, and the aces are now sandwiching the selection... on the table, far from the deck.
The Collective Blink
I remember when first reading this, I thought the plot and patter were really great. I'll be honest and say I don't use this, mainly because I rarely perform to a group of people. I still love the method and plot, and I will definitely try and use it sometime before I die. Oh, maybe you're curious as to what the plot is? Well, you prove to the audience that they all blink at the same time at one point, using a clever version of Bro. John Hamman's ”The Signed Card”.
Beme's Corner
You may know the name Sixten Beme from his ”Complete Card Link”, but the man has done so much more. ”Beme's Corner” is published here for the first time, and it's a totally impossible effect. You have a card selected and signed from a blue deck, and the card is torn up into four pieces. One of the pieces is selected, and the back of it changes color. Everything is now examinable. The method is so clever is makes me laugh inside.
Freedom Cuts
I love this. That's all I have to say.
The Direct Steal
I am so happy that Tom Stone is spreading some of Max Milton's stuff in his e-books. The world needs to see this genius. ”The Direct Steal” is a very streamlined side steal that almost feels mechanic when executed.
Well, I like card tricks. However, beside the card items, you'll also find all of these objects utilized within the e-book:
- Boston box
- Ring
- Cylinder
- Coins
- Cork
- Dice
- Okito box
- Erik Jansson
