Here's the comment that Dan/dave put on my video
"It's a move Tom Wolf published in the 60's. Jim Steranko also published a similar move in Steranko on Cards in the same decade."

That's all i know about it...I checked all my books, and i can't find it myself.

Almost correct but not quite. George Pugh's Pass (Ego Change) didn't make it into the original Greater Magic. It did, however, make it into the 1994 Kaufmann and Greenberg reprint where it was published.

Technically, the first place I can find where this move was actually published was in a little book called, "Tricks for the Few", in 1933. There will be a pretty complete history on my current DVD that Dan and Dave are releasing.
